Saltwater Trailers Australia warrants each new Saltwater Trailer (the “Trailer”) from the date of original purchase and extends to the original owner only.
It is the purchaser’s responsibility to contact Saltwater Trailers immediately should a warranty claim arise. Any avoidable consequential damage arising as a result of failure to seek advice from Saltwater Trailers will render any warranty claim invalid.
Saltwater Trailers shall repair or replace at Saltwater Trailers sole option, without charge, any parts that are determined by Saltwater Trailers to be defective because of imperfect workmanship or materials within a reasonable time after the Trailer is returned at purchaser’s expense to the Saltwater Trailer Factory in Rosbud, Victoria.
It is the purchaser’s responsibility to return the trailer to Saltwater Trailers for inspection prior to a warranty claim being accepted. Saltwater Trailers is under no obligation to collect trailers or to repair trailers off site. For all local customers, trailers must be returned to our Rosebud Factory. For all Interstate customers, we will advise if there is an assessment and/or repair agent available closer however Saltwater Trailers are under no obligation to approve repairs outside of their Rosebud Factory.
Four Year Warranty: Trailer Frame from structural defects from the date of original purchase by the original purchaser.
One Year Warranty: Wheel rims from structural defects, Hydraulic Braking Equipment this includes – Brake rotors, Calipers, Flexible brake line, Brake master cylinder, Break away switch and battery, Brake actuator, Wheel bearings (excluding water entry) Jockey wheel and winch, Bunk and keel bracket system from structural defects, Electric wiring, connector and lighting
Not Covered: Keel or Wobble rollers, Cosmetic appearance, inappropriate or unreasonable use or abuse of trailer, Damage cause by overloading, alterations or modifications, Accidents, damage resulting by failure to properly secure boat to trailer, Normal wear and tear, Failure to provide necessary and reasonable maintenance, Incorrect boat and trailer set up, Commercial use, Off- road use.
Saltwater Trailers Australia may request the customer to supply proof of maintenance or servicing of the trailer in order to assess a warranty claim.
This warranty is extended to the original purchaser only and does not extend to any other persons to whom the Trailer may be transferred. The use of any Trailer as part of a rental fleet or for commercial purposes voids this warranty unless otherwise agreed by Saltwater Trailers upon purchase.
Provisions of this warranty shall not apply to any trailer which is found to have been modified or altered in any way or to any defect, or malfunction, which was caused by damage, unreasonable use or failure to provide reasonable and necessary maintenance.
This warranty will not cover damage caused by overloading the Trailer beyond stated. This warranty also does not cover defects, damage or malfunctions caused by improper configuration caused by any individual, dealer or distributor of the Trailer.
Saltwater Trailers Australia makes every effort to build a trailer to suit a customer’s specifications but it is the customer’s responsibility to do a final fitting of the boat to the trailer. Including but not limited to adjustments to the trailer. Saltwater Trailers Australia takes no responsibility for any damage incurred if this fitting is done incorrectly.
Saltwater Trailers liability is limited to the cost of supply, repair or replacement of the defective part only. This will be at Saltwater Trailers sole discretion.
Saltwater Trailers will not be responsible for the cost of repairs done by a third party without prior written consent of Saltwater Trailers or for additional costs incurred for replacement, removal or reinstallation of any parts supplied.
In no event shall Saltwater Trailers, its subsidiaries, affiliates, agents or employees be liable for any incidental, indirect, special or consequential damages in connection with or arising out of the purchase of the Trailer. Including but not limited to lost profits or revenues, loss of time, towing charges, storage charges, fuel, travel expenses, damage to personal property, loss of use of the trailer or any marine equipment, damage to marine equipment, costs of substitute marine equipment or claims for such damages.
Warranty cover is not extended to defects caused by:
Off Road Usage, Accidents, Normal Wear & Tear, Failure to maintain necessary regular maintenance, any alterations made post factory, Incorrect wiring of the brakes to the trailer or tow vehicle.
Nothing in this warranty statement excludes, restricts or modifies any condition, warranty, right or remedy conferred on the purchaser by the Trade Practices Act 1974 (Cth) or any other applicable law that cannot be excluded, restricted or modified by agreement.
Saltwater Trailers reserves the right to change models or specifications without prior notice.
